Prunus mahaleb from the top of the rock
Hi all
The tree I picked up two years ago. Prunus mahaleb regenerates very well. Today I finished the first styling. It still very much work. I now had branches throughout long. In the spring of branches shorten and re-let a lot of growth. A powerful branch of the tree is very stiff, brittle. I will try to bend the tree grow.

Re: Prunus mahaleb from the top of the rock
hi Pavel,
go carefull or it will end up looking like a pine tree
i'm not convinced the big wide bottom branch and smaller top is a convincing way for the deciduous prunus tree, unless this pine style is your favorite way? if it is then go with it of course.
very nice bark and trunk
best wishes Marcus

Hi Marcus, Chris and Chris V.
thank you for yours nice coments and replies.
The styling is just putting the style tree.
Marcus, I hope I'm not going the direction of Pine. I take great care not to do so.
It is also important to know that in the + - May I cut a large about 2 / 3 back.
It is necessary to create the first line of the branches, then again a strong growth.
Branches two years old are very fragile and the profile of the branch is not a right. It is still many years of work before the result will be satisfactory.

Hi Pavel.
another nice tree.
I think it is too heavy on the right side if tilted, like the last image. the picture not in tilted form appears more balanced. ..bridging/connecting the two foliage groups in the future would help. Because right now they are moving at different direction.
regards,
jun

Hi Pavel,
I hope you dont mind that I made some virtual's for your tree?! I like were you are going with this tree, but there are some disturbing elements in this design that in my opinion could be changed.
Red arrow: That section is to straight and will always look like a stump. And it grows to the left, leading the eye away from the tree.
White arrow: Grows from the inside of that V shape that those two other tops make. It also makes the tree to high in my opinion.
Green arrow: To straight, but it grows in the right direction.
I removed the straight sections and by doing so created a nice direction change and tapper.
Here I removed even more of that still a bit to straight new leader. This way there is even more movement and taper in that new top.
In my opinion you can creat the same tree with this new top section, but with a frame that has nicer movement and taper.
Happy Christmas Pavel!!!
Cheers,
Hans van Meer.
