For the kid in us
Charlie Brown was a hapless character in a long-running American comic strip, Peanuts. The artist died a few years ago, but his comic strip is being rerun. Charlie Brown was famous for always losing his kite in a tree.jun wrote:Iris, bonsaisr wrote:That was Charlie Brown, you know.

Hi Jun. You already know that I love this idea and composition. One day I WILL steal your idea... all I need is a windswept as beautiful as your tree
It looks like you have a 'sky' photo behind, why not go one further and put a screen with a movie like this: BTW I know that kev has done some time lapse clouds too

I understand Robert! just send me PM hehehe, just kidding, i know you' re a fair judge and a professional guy.
...see you soon!
I will not discuss here my other treats to you (all kind of gun firing included) as this will be tantamount to bribing the judge. hehehe. I'll "fight" fair and square....What else you want again other than all boys night out? hehehe.

Thanks Marcus!
To tell you honestly, It gives so much joy to me seeing the "normal" (not the bonsaists) people appreciating the tree and taking photos of the tree and kite when I first exhibited the set.

Re: For the Kids in us
Hi Tony.
Thanks for the kind words. I am waiting for your version....I know you will do even better than mine as you have some 40 years head start against me.hehehe, Just kidding . Seriously though, I really like your other accent stuffs as well like the dragonfly , so I'll keep on waiting for your kite version.
With the sky background- I just spray paint (canned spray) it on white acrylic glass...less than one minute to do. So, it is very "low tech",the time lapse clouds is very nice and tempting to do,,,Maybe someday when I grow old and have my first own exhibit I'll keep that in mind .

jun

Hi Xuang,
More like a boy being chased by a dog...I am sure that will remind most people of their childhood.
BTW, just got from your country, very nice country and good people as well. very cold in Genting highlands too...hope to get back back there soon. Just got a very tempting invitation from Robert.

Re: For the Kids in us
Here is an idea. How about the kite goes back on the tree and have the little kid underneath looking up reaching for the kite.
If I was the kid, I would certainly not run my kite toward the tree! I would stay clear of the tree.
Luc
Congrats Jun

Thanks Folks!
I am very happy this morning,,,,I saw this tree and my Buddha penjing on national television, mine was the first one to appear on the screen before the real winning trees...Though I consider my trees as study trees and just playing with them. hehehe.
