Collecting areas in South Carolina

Hey all, I am planning a trip down to Savannah/Hilton Head area and will have all the time I want to wander staring at the ground which I am very much looking forward to. I wanted to ask if anyone in that area knew of some places I could go to look for stones. I wouldn't ask anyone to reveal their prize collecting grounds just some sense of where the geography might be better than another, I've never been there so I have no idea what the landscape is.
