Hi John
Very nice trees. I think they are all very good. How big is Juniperus communis?

Hi Pavel, thanks very much, I'll pass on your comments at our next meeting.
From memory the Common Juniper is approximately 600mm above the top of the pot.

Looks like a nice show! I really like that larch, and the color on the amur maple is excellent (too bad the background doesn't show it off better).

Mark, Chris, many thanks for your comments.
Chris the larch is John Pitts, the movement and bark texture are fantastic. There are development pictures on Johns website http://www.johnpittbonsaiceramics.co.uk/blog/?paged=4
The colours on Mike Rose's amur maple were much brighter/sharper than the "tweaked" picture shows, the reds and yellows were lovely, as you say the hastily erected hardboard backdrop don't do them justice
Thanks again gents.
Regards
John

Hi John,
Nice trees from your club, well done to all of you.
I too like the Common Juniper and I notice another nice one on your club blog - are these collected?
Cheers

Proton, Chris, Will, Paul
Thanks from all our members, we're glad that you've enjoyed our trees.
Paul, the common juniper came via John Pitt, I know it's a yamadori that he took as part of an exchange, but I'm not sure which country it was collected from, maybe Johnny Boy will chip in if he's reading.
Pete Tombs the current owner has improved the tree greatly over the last 18 months with the help of Peter Warren.

John
