The first time I saw Blue bell was in Lombok, a small island east of Bali. Later on I found out that it was also growing in Philippines. But now I knew that the beat blue bell is in Vietnam. They have not only small leaves blue bell, but also the species with white flower. It is also white bell than.
The white flowers on the tree.

Hey Budi,
nice to see you here! Hope you had a good stay in Switzerland!
The blue or white bell seems to be a very interesting species for bonsai.
It reminds me of Buxus as I think it grows similar.

Hi Max,
I really had a good time in Swtzerland. The country is very very beautiful. I love the bonsai as well.
Blue bell is slightly different from buxus. The l,eaves of blue bell will close at the night time like tamarind and pithecellobium.

I think p no 4 is the most appealing front to the tree due to the direction the trunk curves.

Hello,
It's called Vietnam leaf-flower apparently :

I haven't visited the forum for some time, but I'm very pleased people from Vietnam join in, the way you style your trees can be quite different from the European fashion, and it's very inspirational.
So welcome to IBC and thanks for posting

Tks
Phyllanthus cochinchinensis
Or Phyllanthus welwitschianus Muell.-Arg. (P. cochinchinensis Spreng.), Euphorbiaceae ?

This tree gives flowers once a year. We control it to give flowers during traditional Tet - Lunar new year. Especially first blooms are on the first few days of lunar new year.

Hi Qui,
It is so lovely! what is the specie.
Interesting pot too, though the pebbles on the soil IMHO shouldn't be there.

I used to have hundred of ohnas that I collected since 2001. Now sold out all most and I am just keeping nearly twenty.
These photos took in my garden.

Hi Qui,
I remembered seen them in the garden of Huangny. The tree is not impressive at all without flowers, due to the leaves are relatively big.
