I have no experience with this species, nor with growing plants in an environment such as yours. However, I'm really amazed at your results in a relatively short period of time. Wow, just really at a loss for words, it's incredible to look at!! I hope there are some other enthusiasts in your area whom you can share this with. It would be a shame not to have your good work and the tree's beauty appreciated on person!! Really deserving of praise, you and the tree. Great job!

Pot selection
Hi Fellow IBC members, I have not been able to find a pot for my tree, I think is in a stage were it really deserves it.
I would like to get one commissioned, do you know of anyone might be able to help me?
I live in Melbourne Australia.
Thanks

Try Bonsai Environment in Riverstone Sydney.
He imports large pots so may have something suitable.
You will have difficulty in procuring a pot in Australia as I do not think any potters have a kiln the size you require.
Suggest a search for online sellers in China or Japan, and then import one to suit.

Here is a link to a place that ships (and fast!) worldwide. Kei has many large and reasonably affordable pots. Lots of really nice Japanese, and some Chinese pots as well. Good luck with your search it is a beauty and deserves a great pot!

Hi lele!that is truly a beautiful crepe myrtle you've got there.Your design is coming along very well and that pic. of it in flower just looks awesome.I've been looking for one for years here in Adelaide as there is some massive ones in front yards across the whole state.Haven't been able to find someone willing to let me dig one or even air layer a nice piece of one......I'm actually posting here for your question about having a pot made.I've had one custom made for my reasonably large trident maple recently by a guy up in Queensland named Steve Cullum.Mine wasn't as large as the one you'll need for that monster but i'm almost certain that he'd be able to possibly help you.Check out his website and have a look at his quite large portfolio of pots
