It looks excellent Guide. Nice job. What is it made from? I love the pot containing the little forest too. So different from anything we normally see.

I love the pot, is it one of Erik's, but in my opinion does not match or suit this tree at all.

I have to agree with Andy. The pot's legs seem almost spaceship like and keep dragging my eye's down and not to the tree.

That was also my very first impression.Stone Monkey wrote:I love the pot, is it one of Erik's, but in my opinion does not match or suit this tree at all.

This pot reminds a lot the pots of Erik Križovenský.
But it is not as much.... refined (no offense to anyone)

Very interesting design of the pot. It does look like a Hollywood version of a Alien Spaceship. It does beg for a wilder style tree.
And the design of the pot is similar to the pots by Erik Križovenský, but I believe Erik's are some sort of cement while these are fired ceramic.

Guide,
Is the vase work also yours? I like your unglazed freeforms and scoops that youve posted here(I think from the pics you perhaps modeling your carving on driftwood?), but they deffinitely call for some wild, unorthodox style trees with very powerful images to compete with those pots...lotta deadwood, huge trunks, perhaps.
That said, if that is your vase work, I'd really hope you're making some sometsuke or painting pots. With that level of skill with porcelain and the brush you can sign me up for one today!

Oh, and also, while everyone else seems to see "Alien spaceship", I see humpbacked whale....nonetheless, a conventional tree belongs in neither one!

Hi Guide.
Very nice pots you got there. I like them a lot. never mind the trees in it, they can always be replaced when you find a suitable piece. this is under the pots section anyway, if it is under bonsai section that would be a different story.
I hope you won't mind me asking. how long are making these kind of pots? are there any other pots like these aside from the ones shown here?
i hope to see more works from you.
regards,
jun
