maybe what he meant was "lease the plant". selling is not allowed here, but nothing is said about leasing.
Hi Diego.
The main branches are getting too long now. probably cutting it back near the trunk would increase its "price".... I mean value, not in the monetary sense.

Re: Piracantha
I'm afraid that doesn't make any sense in English. are you using google translator or something similar?Diego PG wrote: I'm just spondee her sounding board for friends.
Can you show us the progression pics please - I'd be interested to see them.

Re: Piracantha
Very good progress Diego.
but still, IMHO-Cutting back the long main branches will help in the design, It will create taper in the branches and will make your tree more compact.

I suspect there were typos in the original text in Portuguese : "espondeu" instead of "respondeu"
espondeu => spondee (an element of verse, from the latin "spondeus")
respondeu => answer (same origin as the French "répondre" or the English "respond")
And I also think that Diego wanted to say that he would post pictures of the tree when he bought it.
... and I agree with the suggestion on cutting back the long main branches

Dear all,
I believe that Diego want to say. " I will provide picture of this three years before when I bought the plant to follow the evolution"
Thanks.

Re: Piracantha
unfortunatly not everyone makes an effort to try to understand what it might mean instead of what it looks just by what it is on words, ...wich it is sometimes to hard to express when it is not your mother language, and ,just take up the oportunity to cut in without any thought for peoples efforts to show their work even when they make an almost heroic effort to express themselves;...
P.S. please dont cruxify me for my ortografic mistakes, ( i am just a foreigner to this language like our Brazilian friend)

Re: Piracantha
I'm assuming that last comment was aimed at me. If so, please find herein my reason for asking if the chap was trying to sell the tree. It is this - over the past few months we have had quite a few new "posters" whose only purpose is to sell items. When it is very obvious that is what is going on, we remove the posts. In Diego's case I was not clear if that is what he meant - that is why I asked him to explain it. I asked in as simple a way as I could as I assumed English was not his language. You will note I did NOT remove his post as I believed he was genuine.
The situation is now resolved. I am sorry if my remarks had offended anyone.

Re: Piracantha
I cannot find a Pyracantha bush for sale anywhere! I was told "Those are from the 80s. No one sells them now." I did find a Pyracantha bush at a kind of museum and I thought it looked beautiful even without flowers or berries on it. I thought about breaking off the ends of branches to bring home with me to try rooting in water but didn't.
