Katsura tree Update
Hey Gang,
I know that we've seen some posts on this tree and just thought I'd post some update pic's of the trees that I'm working on. With all the rain we've had this spring their color is very nice. I sure hope I can get these ready for a bonsai container in the next couple of years but still not sure of the type and size of pot yet.. I'd love to hear how Seth is doing with his tree.

Re: Katsura tree Update
Love this species, how old are those? I haven't been able to find one of a decent size anywhere near me or for sale so I have been growing some out from seed for a year now, a very long way to go.

Re: Katsura tree Update
I have a Katsura tree I planted in the back of my property. I just measured and the caliper is 3".
I love the tree, but it got deer rubbed, real bad one year and the woodpeckers are at it so,
I may chop it next spring. The bark is exfoliating all ready. Let's see, cut it about 3' - 5' above the nebari. Root prune it and leave it in the ground for a couple years,
it ought to put out a lot of new growth.
I'm glad I found this post.
I like that first Katsura tree of yours the best. Nice trees.

Hi all,
let me join the club with some pictures of my Katsura, after repotting in March, on the table a few days ago and where it once started in 2004.
