Re: Desmodium sp./ blue bell on slab
Jun,
This looks very nice. Great job on the slab. The only suggestion I would give is to lower first branch on the right a bit more to fill some of the space. Give it that reaching look if you know what I mean. But overall I think it is a great composition. Keep up the great work.

Re: Desmodium sp./ blue bell on slab
Thanks Todd.
...as the branch grows longer and thicker I will lower it down and further to the right side. It will look proportionate in the future in terms of branch appearance and size ratio to the trunk.

jun

Hi Jun
The combination of the slab and the base of the tree is excellent, very natural.
Great overall and it should be stunning once you've grown and placed the branches!
Cheers

Thanks Rex!
It's not entirely cement. Some lighter mixture in it, color can be adjusted down to the core.

Guys and Gal of IBC,
Thank you very much for the kind words and more thanks for the tree appreciation!
Fiona,
I'm 2 feet and 9''
It's just an optical illusion that I appear bigger.
regards,
jun

Hey Shortie
That is an exceptional tree. The decision to put it on a slab does the tree and the overall composition a great deal of good. Continue to excel.....

Hi,
A beautifully designed tree planted on a light weight slab, artistically created by potter Jun.
Made for each other. Thought the bonsai was not very big, till the yard stick was presented

Mohan.

Thank you Mohan!
The slab is just 6 kilograms. and very easy to make, It just took around 4 hours to do (plus drying time ofcourse), with minimal cost. Even ladies or not too physically young man can do it. I can teach you how to make one if you are interested. hehehe.

NEW FRONT...adjusting for future windswept
Hi IBC.
I change the viewing angle aka front of this tree, this was my first option as front. but the first front has a more complete look than this one, but in the long run this new angle will be better due to the more dramatic trunk detail.
me for scale...
...at this angle the tree is also open for a future windswept design...future courage needed to redo the tree design.
regards,
jun

I like it the way it is - no need to make it windswept.
