My Toyo Nishiki
This is my Toyo Nishiki flowering quince in bloom. It began in 2000, with a twin trunk sucker from a parent plant. I divided it in 2001. It has been on its own since then. In the last couple of years, it has come into its own. I ground layered the red-bearing plants in 3 years ago, because it takes 50 years for these to appear on their on from a white flower bearing plant. I won't be around for that.
Finally, strictly speaking, this is not a clump, but a roots-connected style bonsai. This style developed spontaneously, from the original double trunk division.
