Shohin Size Rock Planting
My club, Sei Boku Bonsai Kai in San Mateo CA has on the schedule a 3 person rock planting demonstration of which I am one of the three. This takes place meeting after next.
For the next meeting I put togetner a small and simple rock planting to show the members that the rock doesn't have to be big and heavy. It can be small and simple like the picture illustrates. The height of this rock is about 5.5 inches including the slate base to which it is attached with epoxy.
I put some wet and sticky clay on the slate and stuck moss to it. No trees involved. Just a distant mountain scene. A green meadow and a rocky peak.
