The trees are marvelous. I'm not so excited by the overcrowded look of the display setup itself, though.
But what IS that last little tree? Exquisite!

Thanks Tony and Walter. It's threads like this that make the effort worthwhile. Just wish I could've been there. They won't let me take time off teaching at school Think it's time I retired early!

Peter is this a statement?
or a question... as it has three '?'
A statement... true... for the moment nobody can tell what kind of Azalea it is because the photo is not good enough.
A Question: can anyone tell what kind of Azalea it is even though the photo is not good enough.

Dear Walter
Thank you for showing these pictures .
Indeed it was a very fine collection of shohin at Noelanders.
Also the pots were special !!!
Dear Bruce
The bare footed shohin is in a "sang de boeuf " glaze on porcelein.
Its not black in stoneware ....... but the shape is so delicate on the higher feet ,
don't You think ?
The pot on the last picture is one of my favorit chinese pots.
I believe the kind of pot is called a "rope" pot ?
On this one the feet are beautiful too !!
Nice to see this back again .
Kind regards
Morea

Dear Bruce
Thank You for the answer
The pot i mean with the bare roots , is this one
[img][/img]
It is the chinese red glaze also called sang de boeuf.
I pointed it out to You , to show You the
combination of high feet on the pot and high bare roots in the pot .
This is what i had in mind for "The private pot" .
We continue in private

was the display named "Mrs Kimura's garden" because it was Masahiko Kimura's wife?
