Yes Yvonne, I was thinking when the big root gets some shoots I could turn it in to a raft.
Dont know if I schould take de big ones further down.

Hi Peter. Nice find, my friend! It's certainly got plenty of options.........now you just need to find them and decide which is best for you. Knowing your love of all things shohin, I expect to see much cutting and sawing in the near future!

This Prunus looks like P. cerasifera. You won´t wait long for the new root-shoots.
It´s nice species, with some similarities to P. mume :-)
And another option for You think about - mume can be grafted successfully on P. cerasifera
