Bonsai is for the birds
I'm still getting used to growing bonsai in Sunset Zone 1. I had seven inches of snow on the ground a week before Thanksgiving. But there is a plus; the birds in my yard are fantastic. There is nothing cuter than a tiny wren sitting on a branch of one of my larger bonsai. I run for my camera and by the time I get back, it's gone. The winter darkness is no help to my light meter and the reflections of my inside lights would detract from getting a good photo through my sliding glass door. I'll keep trying though. Does anyone out there have a good photo of a small bird perched on a bonsai limb? Would love to see it!

Hello Herb. If you go to general discusion and off topic banter and take a look at Ed van de Reek's thread on Macro photo's from my garden, you will find some there I'm sure. It's about half way down the second page.
