360 Bonsai
The 360 degree view I posted on another thread seems to be popular, so
I put this one of my escallonia together earlier today.
This one was done by BBC NI back in 2006. They came to my garden and filmed for 2 days just to get enough for 6 minutes!! The series was called 'Secret Gardens'. If you can get past my 'patter' you will see that they did some nice 360 shots of my trees. I should have kept there electric turntable

Excellent presentation again Ian. You come across well on the interview as well. Not easy I'm sure.

hi ian, great tree , thank you for the compliment , it was nice to see one of my old trees again .i think i was the first person to use escallonia for bonsai , certainly the first to show one in the gingko.i always remember walter pall saying to me what a powerful little tree it was , which i considered a great compliment , then tony tickle,s gang hijacked me in the bar on the boat going home wanting to know everything about escallonia, i told them i,d got a big one to dig up when i got home , and that one is the one that was in gingko no.5. so from digging it up to showing only took 4 years . regards john oakton

Thanks for all your kind words everyone, and yes, now you know I'm a tall bald guy with a funny accent
I would just like to clarify that the narrator in the second clip used the term 'Master' even after I told him not too!!! He dubbed it on later.
John,
your tree was a big inspiration to me at Gingko. I kept coming back to it as I knew I had this one in the garden waiting for my return. Thanks for replying, it made my day.
I have my eye on a few more in my Dad's garden. I even talked him around to letting me collect them. They are a bit bigger than this one and one is pale yellow leaf with dark purple flower. Spade's out in the Spring
Will,
If I remember right you had your eyes on one to collect. Any progress?

Trying to figure out all the features on Movie Maker. Put this one together this afternoon for a bit of practice.

Thanks Will,
I wasn't sure about the choice of transition between slides. It's a bit hard on the eyes and a tad too fast as well. When I converted it, it seemed to speed up! All part of the learning curve.
