It has been a warm wet autumn in my garden this year,
last week we had some frost at night, so the colours came alive at last,
to late for some of the trees, no colour, just leaf drop.

John, what beautiful trees, and though I am not a lover of winter, autumn is another matter.
Thank you very much.
Khaimraj

* It's not the cold, it doesn't bother me, it's the often - nothing to do part - with winter, but then 1 good oil painting in progress could handle all of that.

Thanks for sharing John
My favorite of the four seasons, Fall.
Beautiful colour, beautiful trees, with and without leaves.

Thanks Khaimraj, I prefer the sun also, but as you say Autumn has some advantages, and the cold of Winter makes you appreciate the sun even more.

Yes Stephen,
Autumn is indeed beautiful, but for deciduous trees the changing seasons makes them very special, and always interesting.

Hi Jerry, not showing this year, but I'm coming along to see, hopefully I will be able to show something next year.
I'm very pleased with the Blackthorns progress, more years than I care to remember and finally the ramification is starting to be believable.

The Larch is doing very well thanks Will, no colour on my larches yet, the wet has made them look a bit straggly, maybe next week if we get the sunny days and cold nights they promise us I'll post some pics.

Great collection!! Autumn is a fantastic time of year. Colours of the leaves never fails to impress.

Can I ask what the tree is in pictures 6/7?
(is it silver birch?)

Thanks

Thanks Smithy, it's definately one of my favourite native tree's,

although the Silver birch in Pics 6/7 ( you were right Bryan) has been in my family's care for around 40years, my Father started it as a seedling, I've taken care of it for the last 20yrs, been in a pot all its life and is very special to me.

Thanks Morten, I'm pleased you like them. Autumn is the most special time for deciduous trees, I wait with anticipation every year.

Great trees John. I really like the birch. You don't see many, especially here in the US although they seem to grow well everywhere.

Thanks for posting.
