Re: some october trees from kauai
thanks jerry and gm. I appreciated your comments. I had the pink pixie on a turntable today, and decided maybe the back should be the front for a while. the bottom of the trunk is not as dramatic from this side, however, this front isn't bad. what do you think? I never realized until today, this tree had two fronts - I guess you could say I couldn't see the forest for the tree.

Re: some october trees from kauai
thanks everyone for the comments and opinions. I appreciate the time you take to respond. yesterday, I had the same three trees professionally photographed. if I can figure how to attach an email from the photographer that includes the pictures he took, I would be happy to share. to say there is a "difference" between my pictures and his, is a gross understatement. can someone out there instruct me how to get an email from my yahoo mail into this thread? BTW, I have an imac, if that helps.

it DOES make a difference
compare my original point and shoot pictures with these. the in studio session lasted 3 hours to get 5 pictures I approved. more than 100 were taken, which I have on a CD. to watch the photographer orchestrate the light, plant positions, cameras, lenses, filters, etc. was an amazing experience. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.
best wishes from hawaii.
