juniperus Sargentii yamadori
This is a beautiful juniperus Sargentii yamadori, and in 2007 I styled it for the first time.
The second styling I did two weeks later with my bonsai-mentor Hans van Meer.
He advice me that the the back off the tree looks much better and make this the new front.
And we decide to take away a very long branch, and it immediately looks much better!
You can see in images the development off this tree.
And I repotted it this year in a piece of petrified wood
Greetings Ed

this is what drastic cut means. a very good progression work and the outcome is great.
Hans the mentor is very wise indeed. you are lucky to have him as your mentor.
the new container looks cool too. is it permanent? will it not rot?

jun

Superb result from the pair of you. Not a straight forward tree to design, by any stretch of the imagination.

Thank you all for the nice comments, and it is was a pleasure to discus this tree with Hans and make the best out off it
The change off front and taking away the deadwood makes the difference
And Jun,the deadwood will not rot it's made from teak
