Mike, I'm not sure if you want suggestions but I think some carving along the trunk would help this tree. Currently it lacks taper. What are the roots like below the soil surface? Nebari would add stability and age. Its inclination suggests windswept. Those leaves are very tiny!

I'm not too bothered with the lack of taper but the inverse taper at the ground level would bother me. How about airlayering. Apart from a better root spread, it will give you some flair at the base and stability. I would let the top grow out a bit too.

I also would Air layer it .
There is no nebari , it would bother me greatly the way it is currently ....

In all fairness...taper is not a requirement for a bunjin.
On the otherhand...IMHO, boxwood isn't a good choice for a bunjin...
