Question about Lantana camera 'Miss Huff'
I have one that is doing quite well this summer outdoors....I live in a temperate area and was wondering if the tree would benefit from some colder temps (mid to low 40's F) before being brought indoors to winter with the rest of the tropicals. Previous to this year I have relocated the tree indoors when I move the rest of my tropicals indoors (when nighttime temps. begin to hover around 55 F or so). Thanks in advance...

Tom, its pretty tough. in the ground it can tolerate hard freezes but my experience is you will lose your branches. i would say leave it out untill the nights get close to freezing then protect it. you should not lose the stump but if you let it freeze hard you may have to regrow most of your branches. Not that it is a real problem with lantana, i just hate to start over every year.
