it took several days from the arrangement of the rock on the pot up to the workshop and positioning of the tree on the rock, this pemphis has a huge base, so lot of hollowing on the rock was necessary to accommodate the tree. this tree is just several months old on this rock and will take another two to three years to finish. height when finish would be around 5ft.

thanks, il try to put some cloth of sort on the background. this composition is huge (4 1/2" ft) and heavy, it took six men to put it on my bench. the pemphis and rock is around 160 kilograms.

Jun,I have commented on your trees already.like i said i love the elm..the other tree i do not know... ouestion please,how do you get the elms ect to go dorment in the philippines??? do they stay in leaf all year??? thanks john

Very nicely done pemphis on the rocks, Its realy huge, I can imagine how it will look when it is fin ished, it will be stunning!

elms do not have a dormant period here. they have leaves all year round.

took photo of my huge pemphis acidula for update file-3 months after. My heaviest composition to date...now I'm wondering, how on earth am I going to lift this "mammoth" after I completed it.

Hopefully there are some friends or you'll need a cart with hydraulic table.

thanks Rob...the last time we managed to put it on my bench took 7 huge strong guys from my construction crew.
If this composition turns out well I'll buy a fork lift. this is probably the last time I'll make a bonsai/penjing heavier than a hundred kilos.
