Ponderosa pine question
I have a Ponderosa pine here in Colorado that I was not able to pluck the needles last fall due to foot surgery. I was wondering if it is too late to pluck the needles or should I wait until this fall.

Have you seen our fairly new summary of five articles about this species? http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/PPB/Pin_pon.html
I would say you can do a little needle pruning now for general branch clean-up (e.g, underside of branches or near branch crotch), but the majority should still wait until the Fall.

Robert,
That is too funny, I am a member of the Pikes Beak Bonsai Society. I did not realize that they had updated there site. It's been a while since I have ben able to make the meetings. Thanks for the info!
