Thankyou ALL for your very kind comments. This Cotoneaster fruits very well but the flowers are very poor. Little pink buds appear, then only open very slightly before pollination and then wither. I think the turquoise glaze is best suited to the leaf colour and red berries too.

Some good, quick progress there Will. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in it's new pot!
Did I mention I'm rather envious... I've been wanting a proper cotoneaster for quite some time now... And this one ROCKS!

Hi Will - You know I love the little cotoneaster and if it was mine I would surely prefer the Turquise pot !
I wish it was mine !

Peter. This is a virtual and the tree is bigger and better proportioned in real life. This tree is also in its first year of development as well and will be a much fuller image in time.

Potted and growing strongly. I think the Stone Monkey pot works very well. I couldn't quite centre the tree without removing a largish root this time but with the next potting, I will remove the offending root and move the tree across.Shohin Cotoneaster. - Page 2 Img_1422

Nice tree, this pot goes along very well, I am sure it will be nicer in the next repotting when you can center the trunk.

Hi Will,

Really nice tree and great choice of pot.

I'd love to see it in winter with a few red berries on it - if you can keep the birds away from them.
