Hi Russel,
the stone around the base was there since begining we collected the tree. So is original rock. Pemphis habitat live or grow on the rock near ocean. They all surviver in the nature, some time we got pemphis without stone, but on the rock much easy to handle. Always healthy and growing fast.

Bonsai a,b,c or 1,2,3 = bonsai following text book or rules. Is very hard to tell some body who follow this way, becouse with that way is easy for them to create bonsai. So they learn only visual esensi of the bonsai. The most important is to present impression true massage. This thing may come up in understanding 2 way comunication beetween artis and tree.
