Arbutus Unedo (Strawberry tree)
Hi bonsai friends,
Recently got this tree from yamadory that I want to share with you. Sorry the poor pictures (background included).
This is one of the cases that it is much more beautiful and interesting seen live rather than in pictures.
The tree is too tall by now but the main interest is to get established and put the green mass close to the trunk.
It has a lovely mix of live and dead veins that can't be shown in the pictures, but I think it hopefully becomes a nice one in some years.
Here a closeup of the low trunk near nebary
And here a good movement too that could also be airlaired later (one open possibility)
The trunk wasn't cleaned to prevent dehydration and the first left branch, dead, was kept for a possible jin.
Hope you like and as always coments and sugestions are very welcome.
Regards
João Santos
