Picea "Little Gem" and volcanic rocks
Hi all friends.
I tried to create a simple rock composition. I did not have a suitable stone. I tried to create a rock of volcanic stones. Like a tree I used Picea 'Little Gem'.

Very nice. I really admire all your work. Allthough I must admit, its like a small thorn in my side, hehe. Seeing all your good creations, while my trees are dying outside in my yard.
Can I ask how many trees you have ?
Must take quite some time to keep them healthy.

Hi Eric, thank you very much for nice coment. I appreciate that.
Hi Storm , thank you for nice compliment. I do not know exactly how many trees I have. Lots of different stages of development. Have enough time to die oversupply worries about them. What matters is that trees are grown to like the climate in my garden. Longer coastline than any experiment.

Howzit Pavel,
Very nice. I like how you form the rocks to make a cliff.
Question, help me to understand. Do you consider this as a Penjing or a Bonsai? Much Mahalo.

Hi Tim.
Thank you very much for your nice replies.
Yes, yesterday I was also thinking about the same issue. How can I describe it.
I do not like the strict inclusion always. But in this case, me is a natural composition of rocks and trees. Therefore, I would be willing to Penjing. Not as a Bonsai tree on a rock or stone. I really do not like the strict inclusion. I always try to follow a feel for how I work and not work meets all the rules from the table.
Best regards Pavel

Pavel,
I was reading through all the back post and saw this. What did you use to "glue" the rocks together?

Re: Picea "Little Gem" and volcanic rocks
Hello Pavel!
Very nice composition! Naturalistic indeed!
I have also seen the relative slideshow on your webpage but I cannot realize the depth of the "cavity" where the picea has been planted into... How deep is this identation on the rocks?
One more question of a studying beginner, dear Pavel I believe that now you will protect the tree for some time until it settles, won't you?
Well, how long this time will be and what the precautions that you will take?
Thank you.

That looks great! Thanks for showing the process...particularly interesting how you took that group of nondescript rocks and put them together to form that interesting structure.
