Potentila fruticosa 2010
Hi all.
I brought this Potentila spring 19 April 2010. I think that in future it may be interesting tree.

Hi Pavel
Looks like a great find. Potentillas with large trunks are rare. Looks promising. I like the form of the pot, but I would prefer a blue or otherwise glazed pot for a deciduous tree. Do you know what colour the flowers have?
Best regards
Morten Albek

Hi Stickman and Moshe.
thank you very much for yours nice coment and compliment.
Hi Morten.
thank you for very nice replies. I'm glad you're here.
Dish is still working. I also have a picture of blue-green to gray-brown color mix.
Unfortunately I do not have either the right shape or size. Today I brought one, third try virtual. The color of flowers should be red-orange. (But it's not certain)
Hi Andrija.
Thank you for replies and virtual. But this direction is certainly impossible.

I love the new pot but I think it may be a little too fussy IMHO. I would stick with the current pot
See you in November

Hi Pavel,
The beautiful trunk stands out more in the new pot. Looks really nice.

Really???
Gosh, I must be missing something. All I see is a Chia Pet (www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzY7qQFij_M). Don't get me wrong, the trunk is beautiful, and Pavel's done a wonderful job minimizing the reverse taper. But it's way too symmetrical for me, like a green afro, especially with that gnarly trunk. I don't know much about this material and I'm eager to see where Pavel takes it.
I think Andrija's virtual is great! Well, maybe not the pot for me.

I have to agree with Russell here. A very young and uniform top on this aged trunk. Bags of potential though.

Hi Russell and Will.
Thank you for yours nice and interesing replies and the reasoning.
You are right, yet the young tree crown sits on the interesting old trunk.
But the work only lasts for one year from the pickup. Work only treatment, selection of young twigs and cut. The lower branches are still weak and thin. Not good for shaping or significantly cut back. This year, it's probably better.

Hi Pavel, great tree, and still getting better, but it's not suprising for me. Don't forget to show it in bloom!
I will be digging similar one from my garden and I'm curious what soil have You put Your tree in after collecting. If it's not a secret...
