Fagus sylvativa «The Nest»
Hello,
This spring i had one of the most fanstastic experiences in Bonsai... until now.
I collect a Fagus in February 2007 and iniciated the work in June 2008, this year i planned to show it on my club´s anual exibition but sometimes destiny...
A small bird (Troglodytes troglodytes) made is nest inside the hollow trunk of the tree, put his eggs and in less than a month the complete process was complete with the small bird leaving the tree to begin their journey.

Wonderful Carlos. You'll soon have little wrens everywhere and still early enough for another clutch as well.

Very nice.
Last year I had a cardinal couple make a nest on top of a chop on a bald cypress tree that I made into a yard tree.
The parent birds did not like my looking in the nest (it was asbout eye level). They would buzz my head - kind acute really. . Three babies appeared and soon they were gone. Hopefully they flew off and were not eaten.

That is wonderful. I get birds in my trees too, but unfortunately I'm left with broken branches only.
