lime sulphur
Looking for a subsitute for Lime sulphur, I have read somewhere that mixing poster paint with lemon juice works quite well,has anyone tried this or have any other ideas.

Thanks for the replys. I want to treat and bleach jins and shari,s. lime sulphur is difficult to obtain in this area other than mixing my own or buying over the internet. just wondered if there were any alternatives

Jins and sharis on what? There are plenty of on line bonsai shops to buy some, if there is nothing in the area. There are some alternatives but it depends on the wood your treating.

I would treat all of those with lime sulphur. Not neat though as it looks unrealistic. 50/50 ls and water with a tiny drop of black ink, just to grey it off. Deadwood on deciduous, I use Ronseal wet rot wood hardener.
