Re: Serissa foetida - 8 years
This may be our first Serissa in our new incarnation.
If you've kept this one going for 8 years, well done!
I would suggest, however, that rather than using tie-downs for all of your branches, they you do some traditional wiring. If you look closely at your branches, you will notice hat they all have a "bow" (as in bow and arrow) shape to them -- they rise off the trunk, then bend in a rounded form downward. Branches also move sideways, and you can't put that kind of movement into them with tiedown.

Thanks, Jim,
I was alredy fighting against this "bow" shape. Now I will try with the traditional wiring, as you suggested.
Thank you again.

I am almost giving up of this branch... too hard to put it down. Let´s see what happens.

Pozzana,
can you do a shot like the 2nd image in your post against a plain background, it would be easier to appreciate what you have been doing.
Thanks in advance,
Khaimraj

Nicely done for 8 years. Its seems easy, but is a little more tricky in my experience. I just gave up on them for the moment. Congratulations!
Does it flower often? The secret is to let it dry out a bit before watering again. They flower more once in fear of death. Like many plants.

Andre',
in the tropics, they also drop many leaves when they get underwatered, and lose branchlets.
Normally they will flower around April to June and then a second time around October/November, but if they start to flower, they don't often want to stop.
So I have to prune to re-start new growth.
Good to see you around again.
