Re: Picea abies 2002 - yamadori "LOGO"
Hi all bonsai friends
The tree in December 2010, I removed all the wires.
Today I worked on the restyling of the Spruce.
I removed a few small branches, highlighted the space in the crown. I think it would benefit the tree.
Spruce without wires before restyling
work
Today after restyling

Its looking really good Pavel - good work. As good as ever!
Its not a species I'm familiar with but I note that you have quite a few - obviously a species you'd reccomend? Your posts are making me want to give it a try.
Jonny.

Hi Jonny
Thank you very much for your compliment.

Jonny, It is common on Picea abies forest. It is not a variant or subspecies.
I hope I understood the question?

Hello Mr Pavel
Very nice work, very nice documentation of the progression and very inspirational. Could you and other experts please help with this species.
I have a couple nursery plants in 3-5 gallon containers of this species, got them on a sale last fall. they are severely root bound. Could you please give some advise on how to handle this or direct me to a source of information as to how to care for these trees in bonsai culture. In general there is not much information on the internet on this species. Thank you and again very good inspirational trees

Very nice Pavel. I am about to recieve some collecting tags for next spring and have been looking at all of your posts because of how well you style yamadori. I really like your work and love the fact that you post so frequently.

Magnificent tree. The pot looks like it came out of the mountains with the tree. The design and power of the pot is perfect for this tree. I wish there were more pots like that one floating around. It really sets off this tree better than any pot I have seen from Japan. The entire image, pot and tree, is absolutely tasty, to use a phrase not used often in bonsai.

What Vance said plus....it took me all that time to realize it said YAMADORI LOGO and not YAMADORI LEGO ! I was trying to figure out where the lego played in...Ha!
Great tree, Pavel!

Nice work again Pavel,
Like vance I do like that pot.....
I noticed a lot of moss in the first picture.....did you repot it or just remove the moss and add a little more soil?
Cheers

Hi Tona, Vance and Graham - gman
Thank you for yours very nice coments and compliments.
Yes Vance, I think this pot is very good for this Picea.
Dish made to order for this tree, Mr. Dorda Pravoslav in 2002. It has two different sides. Dark is used now. Clearance was used at the beginning when she was young tree bark.
Greetings Pavel
Hi Dorothy
Thank you for your nice coments and compliments. And for happy replies.
It's a great inspiration for the name of a tree in the future. I think I know to which this name will be handy.
