Collected Eastern Larch 2009-2010
Acquired this tree last spring and just wired/repotted it.

That's a good start. I'd like to see a couple more views of the initial design from different angles.

Re: Collected Eastern Larch 2009-2010
I find the trunk has a very interesting movement, and evokes a tree at the top of a cliff, a windswept tree. But in this case, the small branch on the right should perhaps be removed.
Another option would be to lower this branch on the right even more and make a sharper angle with the trunk, now I find it too "soft", too much rounded. In that case, I would probably shorten the first branch on the left too.

Hey Chris,
Glad to see you posting here. I like what you have done so far. What about removing the piece at the top which is going in a different direction? It looks like that piece goes to the back in the photo.
The apex can be the bit going the same direction as the lower branches.
See you at the club meeting on Monday.
