Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Here are a few more of the hand-carved mame pots carved from solid blocks of clay. These are VERY time consuming so the available numbers will be small, especially for the larger sizes I showed earlier..
I was really suprised by the small amount of pots I got made since my last show but the things I've been working on are very time consuming so numbers are smaller than I'd like.

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
I made some VERY dark pots with a lot of reduction of the clay ( I fell asleep on the couch while doing a reduction run for 1 1/2 hours!) but I really like the colors.
Here is an oval that the photo just doesn't do justice. BTW, I'm 'new camera' shopping!
And a Dry Riverbed bunjin with flame marks...
and something new, a woodgrained bunjin pot with drips.

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Alex, I could ship to the phillipines, but shipping is very expensive out of the country. I've shipped to Europe, UK and Australia and packing/shipping/insurance is a killer especially if a bigger pot!

Dale

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
I had a commission for a Dry Riverbed bunjin/literati pot with inside measurements at the lip of 15-16" and 3-4" deep inside.
I made FIVE.
Here are the first 3 out of the kiln. Two are my own ash glazes and one unglazed.
The nicest one ( in the exact size requested) I glazed with a neat shino. It is firing right now and it should be cooled in a couple days. The other one in the kiln is another ash glazed.

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Here are a few carved shohin pots in different shapes.
This is a new idea I'm developing which is a mixture of thrown, altered and carved pots.
I'm going to call these "Wrecked (rect.) Pots" since most start life as some type of rectangular shape and go from there to rect, square, oval or lotus. I'll be doing a lot of these in varios sizes in the future. These are all shohin size. I'm working on some larger ones now.
