Great tree!
How long do you have this tree? Do you have any pictures of previous state? It would be interested for me to see the history this tree went trough.

Very, very nice tree. The roots look unified to the left and you have done great job pinching to get ramification. since it is a shohin, I would suggest shorten more some of the branches in middle leading to apex so you have various lengths(and appearance of more movement through tree) If all the subranches are same size it gives topiary appearance to canopy(most difficult aspect of shohin) Dustin Mann

Hi Ogie,
Do you start collecting local Hibiscus in Philippines? Will any of you join the BCI China tour in September?

Ogi, it is fantastic. Does this tree's leaves reduce enough?

Re: HIBISCUS SHOHIN
thanks for all for the positive response
JOE,
Yes it came from taiwan last two years ago. But it is only a material when bobby bought it from Taiwan.

The leaves reduces its size, but the problem with hibiscus it is very hard to maintain all the leaves with same size. Usually, when I observe from Taiwan they defoliate hibiscus when showing it .
Budi,
Its not local. very hard to find local hibiscus with good movement. Regarding to China, we do not still have a meeting regarding this matter.

Hi Ogi,
Great tree. What I really like about this tree is the excellent branch ramification despite the size. Excellent job.
I do understand your problem about the leaf size and I guess over a few years of regular defoliation, the leaves should reduce size atleast to some extent. All the best.
