Buxus yamadori
Interesting looking tree Ed. You got any ideas, what direction you want to take it? Does Mark allow you both to make the plans for the tree? Looking forward to the results.

Re: Buxus yamadori
Hi Will,Marc will always listen first what your plans for this tree are,and he will advice what he has in mind and make a drawing from the tree to let you see what you can make from it

Re: Buxus yamadori
Here the endresult, the tree is placed in a pot from William Vlaanderen
I make some corrections on the branches at home, and placed it in the pot because there was no time to do this at the workshop.

Hi Ed, nice tree but on this picture i mis balance,......its just what i think
The heaviest part of the tree (the crown) leans on to pots outer limb.
Just a thought,.....
Nice tree btw!

Hi Ed.
Very nice and interesing work . Pot complements very well, but the composition is sufficiently stable to the table?

Hi Pavel, the pot is stable on the table because I put a little wooden block behind it.
And Machiel you must see the tree in real life, than you can see the tree is in good balance with the pot.
And thanks all for the nice reactions,I will post soon another picture from the tree when I have worked on the deadwood

Re: Buxus yamadori
The first styling from this Buxus yamadori was done with guidance from Marc Noelanders at a workshop in 2010.
But I wasn't satisfied enough with the result,so I decided to restyle it,and style it to my personal taste.
The beautiful old deadwood from this tree was hidden on the back, and I decided to make the new front where you can see the beautiful old dramatic deadwood and tilted the tree much higher in the pot.
The tree looks much better already, and I like the movement and the negative spaces in the tree also.
I like this tree already, only when the tree has more green it will look much nicer that's for sure.
For now I let it grow freely, can't wait how it will look next year
