Wow- creative. Are you experimenting with lettering on under the glaze?

Yes Rob, signs of culture on a rough, earthy pot. You read "oesterreichisch", which is the native term for
austrian.

Horst-
Do you know of the american potter Jeff Oestreich? He once explained to me the "east reich" origins of his name. You should see his work. You and he have a similar color palate.

@ PT: In about 900 a.c. it was the term for the border region region of the East-Frankish-Empire,
this part was called "Ostarrichi".
No, I don't know, Jeff, I have to google - or is there a link to his web-site?
Thanks Horst

Morea - the colors of the 50s are back , remember: kidney-shaped-table, kitchen fronts showing sweet pinks, light blues etc.
Thanks for your applause!

Horst,
I like the ash drips on the top of the taller oval. It also has a lot of interesting layers of color.
Quite spectactular

Re: hhpppppots
Horst,
I like your feet and cut out on that last one. Very nice.
Your orange/rust glaze that you use is interesting too. May I ask, is the orange color from oxides, stains, or both? I am guessing both, but I don't do high fire reduction yet, so I am not sure.

What a beauty! That's what I call 'pushing the envelope'
I really like the seam too. It opens up a lot of possiblities in your designs...

Dear Horst
Your famous orange glaze !!!
How good to see it again , and the glaze on the last
pictures ,the pinkish bubbles is so organic , like it very much !!
Dear Rob
On the old IBC , Horst showed his orange glaze too.
We potters were all excited and asked Horst empty minded about it .
During the asking we did it like a quiz , it was so nice and sheerfull !!
We taking our books , recipies, try-outs out , thinking of all
kind of combinations , minarals on different firing temps
and all possibilities according to firing.
Post this , once a day and anxiously waiting for Horst to reply !!
GOOD memories Horst and Your orange glaze !!
Kind regards

Morea,
Now that you mentioned it, I think I remember something about that. I hope that wasn't what promted his (too long) hiatus....
LOL,
