Tree and Pot Combo Award for the BSA 2010 show at Willowbog 27th & 28th Feb

I have had the privilege of sponsoring an award this year at the British Shohin Association Show hosted at Willowbog Bonsai on the 27th & 28th Feb this year, more info here www.willowbog-bonsai.co.uk/BSA/index.asp
So I came up with this pot as the prize for the best tree and pot combination. I was inspired by blossoms on naked bare branches from a book I have on Japanese Cherry Blossoms. Each of the blossoms centre is plated in 99.9% pure silver

I've been doing some appliques this winter myself and hoping they'll all stay on during 2 firings. ( we need a 'crossed fingers" emoticon!)

WOW! What a stunning pot, and what a beautifully crafted basket!

Whilst it is obviously a show piece, it would be a shame never to see this pot carrying a shohin Cherry semi cascade.
