start them young
My 3 year old grandson Tyler loves to work in the garden with me and shows an interest in my bonsai,
here he is dead heading my Hosta Blue Mouse Ears last summer.
He has also helped me prepare trees for exhibitions and will be repotting in the next few months - so much better than computer games.

Big Steve,
What a great picture! I like what you said about computer games.... Bonsai and the other related arts will pay back double dividends in the long haul, both you and him.
My boys are always wanting to play clay with me, and although their requests sometimes come at less than perfect timing, I know that every moment counts!
Thanks for sharing-
Rob

I'll be happy if my grand-grandchildren would take care about my trees. I think most of them will finish in the fireplace.
