Eastern red cedar

I dug this up out of the ditch a few days ago did a little trimming and it had a big scrape on the bark so I peeled that section off theres a lot going on with this little tree I'm kinda scared to cut anymore any input would be appreciated input

Hi again, this juniper also looks dead. Follow the same watering plan I mentioned in the last post, of only water when the soil becomes almost completely dry. Good luck this would otherwise be a cool little tree if it lived.
