Pest or ???
A week ago I noticed some damaged leaves on a little A. ginnala. My first thought was: where is the bloody caterpillar? Thorough search. Nothing. OK, we will see. Next day another check. And another few leaves with clean cuts and missing parts. Another check with the same results.
Well, need to take more scientific approach_list of suspects. Catepillars and bugs. Which one is the offender?
Would you guess? Solitary bees
It has taken me half an hour of patient waiting in the full sun this morning to catch it. So enjoy.
I thought that they consume pollen and some nectars. But here a lot of green parts of leaves has disappeared inside the nest. Building material?
Anybody to help with this one?

@jw68394 Thank you for the link.
They seem to be quite picky when it comes to the right type of the leaves. There is at least 150 potted plants around and they love this one. And not even that. They select only leaves of certain age/maturity. Obviously they know what they do.

My plants also suffered from it. Here is an interesting article about it https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/leaf-cutter-bees.htm. I would also recommend you the source with pests control stuff.
