Re: Little Hawthorn
Yes Eric, it was reduced from a taller tree. Just waited for buds to pop all over the trunk. Even now, it thros buds out everywhere and I pick them off before they get going.

Re: Little Hawthorn
Love this little gem Will. Excellent little tree and just my size.
I read earlier in the thread you telling Simon about the chalk quarries down our way. I was on one a few weeks ago a got a great wild dogwood clump, approx 20cm high, with very small leaves. I am not going to tempt fate as yet and show it but I shall in future should the will of the Bonsai gods smile on me
All the best
Andy

Look forward to seeing it. You didn't find any Cotoneaster or Hawthorn then? Have seen quite a lot in the quarries I've been to

Re: Little Hawthorn
Hi Will,
I'm still hankering after a similar Hawthorn but will have to put off the collecting until next year.
Superb work and I would love to see this beauty in the flesh!!!
Okk, Okk,

You're welcome here anytime, although you would have to travel through Essex... but sacrifices have to be made.

Re: Little Hawthorn
Yes your right Pavel. More length, weight and ramification on the left bottom branch. Thanks for all your kind words.
