Which crabapple should I pick?
Hi,
I've been looking for a crabapple bonsai. A malus halliana.
Now I found some on a good site. ( I sadly can't got to a store in my neighbourhood and I have no car).
I was wondering which of these two look better, I am really not experienced on how to choose a good tree. I usually just look at the style of the trunk.
I personally like this one:
But maybe this one is better ?
Both are in my price range.
I would like to hear your advice.
Thanks in advance !

It's hard to really tell, but, I like the top one better. The surface roots look better and the crown looks like it has been cut back a little harder. This may mean more branching and ramification than in the lower tree.

Both trees are OK but for my personal preference if one with a straighter trunk is available I would consider that. A straight well tapered trunk will look much more natural.

Take Both ☺☺☺ they are both nice. I prefer the first one, pics are difficult to see but the branching looks better placed for me anyway. Good Luck
