The search for a small azalea. What are your opinions on this tree?
Hi
I recently have started looking around for an Azalea bonsai. I am new to the bonsai hobby but always loved them.
But there are so many different Azaleas for sale and it is hard to pick.
I am looking for a small (low) tree with a thick trunk.
Now I found this one for sale. Does this look like a nice bonsai? It is about 22 centimeters high and said to be around 25 years old.
The asking price is around 500 dollars.
I would like to hear some opinions
Thanks in advance.

re azalea
It is not even in a good pot. Looks ok but I would not pay that. And if you have not seen it then definitely not. Why priced in dollars?

Hi,
Thank you for your advice
I decided not to buy this one and today I got offered a much cheaper and nicer bonsai that is 17cm tall and the trunk measures 12cm diameter
The seller is someone who is said to be a good seller. And the bonsai comes in a good pot. I will post pictures when I recieve the bonsai.
Thanks again

re azalea
Where you are you are close to some good bonsai nurseries. Better to visit than to buy blind.
That was an old picture too I would assume as it was in flower,
Geoff.
