Hi Jim.
Beautiful, since your image of the 24e the kurume is now in full bloom.
Like John, i also would like to know what soil mix you use.
Here azaleas and camelias in the garden are starting to, not my satsuki though.
regards, Sunip

Thanks to both.
My soil is pretty standard. 2/3 Turface and 1/3 a rooted bark and peat bagged "soil conditioner."
This time of year, I just keep an eye on them. In summer, an automatic system waters twice a day.

Nice small Azalea,
North Carolina is not very far from Virginia and all my Azaleas and Satsuki's flower buds are not even swelling, are all yours in blooms?

This is a Kurume azalea of some sort. They bloom earlier. Many of the azalea in my yard are starting to bloom. My Satsuki on the bonsai tables are some time away from blooming.
