Help with Rock
Have this Rock that my be a scholar rock , there a name on bottom , has anyone hear of this name or know if this is a scholar rock. To me the front of the rock have a lot of picture in it, like a bear with a heart, a Dragon head, and a few more. help with rock. There is a hole on top of rock , maybe for a pen or paint brush size ?

Hi Jrfinds... If I understand the stone's processing correctly, this mostly naturally-contoured stone with a flat-cut bottom & a hole drilled in the top was likely intended as a candlestick or bud vase (if the hole is deep enough). With a manufactured hole in the top, it would not be viewed as a suiseki, scholar's rock or viewing stone.
