Ash tree shohin
Not an obvious choice for a small tree I know but I started it in 2004 from a found sapling.
First photo is from last year
I reduced the stems this spring but the bud on the leader either died off (unlikely) or got knocked off.
So I think I will remove that branch altogether and use the thin branch as the leader.

I like it! That one branch removed.... nice taper! Personally enjoy the less "worked with" trees. -Jacob
