What is a Resurrection graft?

I recently met a fellow bonsai enthusiast, and he mentioned that he was involved with "resurrection grafts".

It was the first time I had heard the term. The way he described it, it sounded identical to a phoenix graft or a Tanuki, but he denied it.

So what does it mean?

it sounds like you were talking to the guy that could have answered your question...  

perhaps he just needed a follow up question from you... something along the lines of:
"if they sound the same, but you say they are not, can you explain how they differ ?"

My guess is that it is a local variation of the term phoenix graft.
