Help with a juniper Empty Help with a juniper

I picked up a four foot tall juniper out of a landscape nursery pile. The owner thought it was too sick. The top foot and a couple of branch throughout are pushing new growth a bit. Bright green tips. It's been doing that for about a year. The other branches. Are pale green grayish color. But they aren't brown. And they have brittles up. They are still spongy to the tough.

Any prospect theyll green up and start growing, or is it more likely they'll die off?

Hate to be one of those guys but a picture would help immensely.

Absolutely. On the surface of it, it sounds like you might have a red spider invasion. PICTURES WOULD HELP! Please?

If the juniper was outdoors, it is normal for junipers to change colors during late autumn and winter. Most go from green to either a purple gray, or some go to rust shades. The color could be this if growth is still flexible. Put it in a shady spot, protected from wind, outside until spring. Most junipers are very cold hardy, no need to worry about temperature, just keep it out of wind and direct winter sun.

If this was in a greenhouse, kept well above freezing, spider mites are likely.
