With the first tree, do you have future changes in mind for the base of the tree on the left? The way it butts up against the edge of the pot might lead me to consider one a little wider.

If you think of the green part, I want to expand a little bit on the right. But a little. In general, I do not want the pot longer than the entire width of the nebari. I would like to pot "was covering" nebari.

I would keep more or less the same shapes: rectangular for the first one because the base has a massiveness it would complement, and rounded or slightly oval for the second one, shallower if the roots allow it.

Beautiful trees, I absolutely adore Mugo Pines. They epitomize everything you could want in a two needle Pine and I truly envy you guys in Europe where you can get Yamadori Mugos. You have done a wonderful job on these two trees.
